The Rhode Island Hospital Emergency Department is planning to pilot the use of text messages (SMS) to help explain the flow of the hospital, provide patients additional transparency into their care, and help improve care quality.

At this stage of the pilot, we are eager to hear directly from patients to better understand what kind of information they would like to receive over text messages or if they would like to receive text messages at all. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Please note that this is not a patient satisfaction survey. This survey is utilized for research related to text message updates. If you have concerns regarding your experience to the Rhode Island Hospital Emergency Department, please reach out to our Patient and Guest Services at 401-444-5817 or by email at PGS@lifespan.org
